Galiano Island's Food Bank, in partnership with the Galiano Club, provides needed groceries and household supplies to those in need.
For 20 years, the Food Bank worked through volunteers at St. Margaret's to provide food in the quieter months to long term residents. Now, with the assistance of the Galiano Food Programme, service to those who need some assistance has expanded to being year-round.
Food can be purchased at, and left in collection boxes at:
- St. Margaret's Church
- Corner Store
- Daystar Market
- Galiano Garage and Grocery
In addition, the Food Bank now supports the Meals for Seniors programme of fully prepared, nutrious meals delivered, or available for pick up.
