In honour of St. Francis of Assisi, recognized as the patron saint for the protection of animals and the environment, churches hold special services near his feast day of October 4.
This year, we hold a special service on October 3rd of the "Blessing of the Animals" You are welcome to bring your special pet companion for a blessing.
We will have a gathering with music, readings and blessing for your animal companions. Everyone is welcome, all creatures large and small.
There will be also be a Blessing of the Animals at the Saturday Market from 10 to noon with Rev. Sarah Tweedale.
